A meta-analysis of technology use and cognitive aging

A large meta-analysis of over 400,000 older adults found that digital technology use is linked to a reduced risk of cognitive impairment and slower cognitive decline. Contrary to the “digital dementia” hypothesis, evidence suggests that technology exposure may actually help preserve cognition in aging populations.
