Pedagogical Biases in AI-Powered Educational Tools: The Case of Lesson Plan Generators

This study reveals that AI lesson plan generators often reinforce outdated, teacher-centered approaches that limit student agency and dialogue. By applying intentional prompt engineering, the authors demonstrate how these tools can be guided to produce more student-centered, interactive lesson plans aligned with modern educational values.
