At one elite college, over 80% of students now use AI – but it’s not all about outsourcing their work

A survey at Middlebury College found that over 80% of students use generative AI, one of the fastest adoption rates in higher education. Most use it as an on-demand tutor to enhance learning, not simply to outsource work.
