What We Must Do About AI In Education

The Manifesto for Generative AI in Higher Education by Hazel Farrell and Ken McCarthy (2025). A critique of the Manifesto’s claim that students “must learn with GenAI before they can question it” argues that firsthand use is not a prerequisite for critical judgment and warns against uncritical, potentially harmful adoption of general-purpose AI tools in higher education.
