A qualitative systematic review on AI empowered self-regulated learning in higher education

This review analyzes 14 studies on how AI tools, like chatbots and adaptive feedback systems, support self-regulated learning (SRL) in higher education. It highlights AI’s potential across SRL phases while stressing the need for human-centered integration to preserve student autonomy and self-efficacy.
